Welcome to the world of Mythos, a new take on the beloved card collection game genre. We strive to create a competitive, fun, and visually appealing game where two players will face off in a head to head battle.
How does it work?
Mythos will be played utilizing a deck of 120 cards, this deck is made up of 80 creatures, 20 artifacts, and 20 spells.
Each player will take turns placing down their cards on their side of the board, which is made up of 2 rows with 5 columns in each row. (See image below, a concept of what our board will look like).
How and where you place your cards is up to you, and will result in a variety of different play styles.
The Cards
In the world of Mythos, creatures are divided into different factions, those factions include: The Hunger, Guiding Light, Beasts, The Hunted, and Unaligned. Each faction has unique creatures, all of which will make up your playing deck. Speaking of the deck, players will be able to choose their own cards, so if you like a certain faction, you won't be limited to how many you can pick up. Read more about the lore here!
The Team
Mythos is a student lead project at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater, we have programmers, artists, writers, and a marketing team. Although this project is starting as class work, we have hopes to take this project further, including releasing the game to Steam.
